Next to Western Railway Station (designed by Eiffel), Westend City Center is one of Budapest's largest shopping centers, offering offices spaces, shops, restaurants and a cinema. Other restaurants and cafés line both Andrássy Avenue and the cosy trees of Liszt Ferenc Square.

There are several theatres on Nagymező Street offering cultural performances. Part of the district, close to City Park, is home to embassies from many countries with elegant villas.
