Dob street

The area was named after Queen Elizabeth, the wife of Emperor Joseph I. Here you will find the Dohány Street Synagogue, the second-largest in the world. The restaurants and cafes of Gozsdu Court, which is lined by Király Street and Dob Street, await those who wish to refresh themselves. The plays of the Madách Theatre and the Hungarian Theatre of Pest await the culture lovers.

The closest shopping malls are the Arena Plaza next to the Eastern Railway Station and Europeum next to Blaha Lujza Square. On the Erzsébet Boulevard section of the Grand Boulevard (Nagykörút), tram line 4-6 runs through Astoria, parallel to Rákóczi Road, and the M2 metro line runs along the edge of the district.
