Chinese are the Most Active Foreigners in the Hungarian Real Estate Market

Of the nations outside the European Union, the Chinese buy most of the real estate in Hungary. According to a recent study, every second property purchase request is submitted by Chinese in Hungary, followed by Russian, Ukrainian, Israeli and Turkish buyers.

The most sought-after properties in Budapest are located inside the Grand Boulevard and in Buda. While in the area of Grand Boulevard buyers are mostly looking for 200 thousand euros and more expensive real estates, in Buda the most popular real estates are sold to foreigners for 300-400 thousand euros.

However, not only in Budapest are buyers of foreigners looking for real estates, but in the countryside too. The most popular cities are Hévíz, Miskolc, Debrecen, Pécs, and Keszthely.
