Growing Interest Towards the Budapest Property Market

In the first 4 months of 2017 we received nearly 40% more enquiries from foreign buyers than in the same period of 2016, in line with the continuously growing trend in the past 4 years.
This shows a significant interest towards the Budapest residential real estate market, which is not a surprise since rental yields are 5% to 7%.
Where do the buyers come from?
The market has changed since the crisis. Before 2008 the majority of foreign buyers in Hungary were from few particular Western-European countries but we see a totally different picture today. As it has been highlighted in the press about the Hungarian real estate trends, today we have clients from Russia and China, but we actually have clients from all over the world. The number of buyers enquiries from within and out of the EU is about the same.
However, according to the research we sorted in the database of the Land Registry Office of Budapest, the majority of the foreign buyers who invested in Budapest before the crisis still own their properties. We always have property owners considering an exit from different personal reasons and we are happy to help in selling their apartments in Budapest.
What kind of apartments are available? From the above mentioned reason we have a portfolio of working investment properties for sale with proven rental track record and sitting tenants with long term lease agreements. Many of these apartments are managed by Tower International or by one of our partner companies for several years. It is also an attractive opportunity for many international investors today.
Of course there are other exciting listings from newly built to classical, from downtown apartments to family houses.
