Hattyú utca

The most well-known part of District I. with a rich past and historic atmosphere is the Castle District itself. Residents of the Buda Castle have the privilege of walking every day to attractions such as the Buda Castle, the Fisherman's Bastion or the Matthias Church, and the recently renovated Castle Garden Bazaar. In addition to the castle, the green areas of Tabán and Gellért Hill provide recreation opportunities for those who like nature, and there are several spas.

The closest shopping malls are MOM Park and Mammut, the latter at the foot of the Castle Hill, next to Széll Kálmán Square. From here the tram 4-6 runs across the Margaret Bridge to the Pest side. But from here or from Batthyány Square we reach the M2 metro, which can be in the center of Pest in minutes.

In terms of students, the area may be popular because of the University of Physical Education or ELTE Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education. The district is also popular for its modern office buildings such as EcoDome and Buda Center.
