District 11. - Újbuda
Perhaps the most emblematic part of the district is Gellert Hill, with Citadel and the Statue of Liberty at the top, which is a favourite destination not only for tourists but also for the proximity to nature and the beautiful panorama. From the Pest side, the M4 metro station at the Újbuda-Central station stops at the Allee shopping and entertainment area, but you can take the metro to Kelenföld Railway Station. This is the 4th busiest train station in the capital - with suburban connections to the agglomeration. For families, a trip to Sashegy or a walk around the Shallow Lake can be an inviting activity.
Thanks to the metro, tram lines 4-6 and 1, and bus line 7, the district has excellent public transport. The outer part of the district is one of the gates of Budapest, where the M1 and M7 motorways start towards Vienna and Lake Balaton. There are several major shopping centres within the city limits (IKEA, Auchan, Decathlon, Media Markt, Tesco, etc.).
